Dr. Sarabpreet Singh guides a trainee pipetting at an IVF lab workstation

Become clinic-ready in IVF, embryology and ART

Live online courses and small-batch lab training, taught by practising embryologists and fertility specialists.

(01)About the academy

Founded by Dr. Sarabpreet Singh to formalise and raise the standard of training in clinical embryology and andrology. Teaching happens online, in a working IVF lab at Artemis Hospital, Gurugram, and on site in clinics.

Redefining ART means teaching IVF the way it is practised: live, case-led sessions from people who run labs, then hands-on time at a real bench before you take it to your clinic.

(02)The IVF continuum

Every course maps to a moment in the IVF cycle

Follow one cycle from stimulation to implantation. Each step shows what happens, and the courses that teach it.

Day −12 to −2Ovarian stimulationSchematic illustration, not to scale
  1. 01Day −12 to −2

    Ovarian stimulation

Gonadotropins grow a cohort of follicles while ultrasound and hormone monitoring guide the dose. A trigger (hCG, agonist or dual) is timed about 34–36 hours before retrieval.

  2. 02Day 0

    Ovum pick-up

Follicles are aspirated under transvaginal ultrasound guidance, and the embryologist finds each cumulus–oocyte complex in the follicular fluid.

  3. 03Day 0

    Semen preparation

Semen is assessed against WHO criteria, then density-gradient or swim-up preparation selects motile sperm for IVF, ICSI or IUI.

  4. 04Day 0

    IVF or ICSI

Oocytes are inseminated conventionally, or denuded and injected by ICSI: a holding pipette steadies the oocyte, polar body at 6 or 12 o’clock, and a fine needle delivers one sperm.

  5. 05Day 1 · 16–18 h

    Fertilisation check

Normal fertilisation shows two pronuclei and two polar bodies, assessed 16–18 hours after insemination or injection.

  6. 06Day 2–3

    Cleavage

The embryo divides to about four cells on day 2 and eight on day 3. Cell number, symmetry and fragmentation are graded.

  7. 07Day 5–6

    Blastocyst

A fluid-filled cavity forms. Expansion, the inner cell mass and the trophectoderm are graded before transfer, biopsy or freezing.

  8. 08Day 5–6

    Biopsy and PGT

A few trophectoderm cells can be biopsied for preimplantation genetic testing: PGT-A for aneuploidy, PGT-M for monogenic conditions, PGT-SR for structural rearrangements.

  9. 09Any stage

    Vitrification

Oocytes and embryos are cryopreserved by ultra-rapid cooling into liquid nitrogen at −196 °C, then warmed for a frozen embryo transfer.

  10. 10Day 3, 5 or frozen cycle

    Embryo transfer

With the endometrium prepared, the embryo is placed with a soft catheter under ultrasound guidance, followed by luteal phase support.

  11. 11After transfer

    Implantation and beyond

When implantation fails repeatedly or pregnancies are lost, the work-up turns to genetics and immunology.

Underneath every stage: lab quality

Air quality, VOCs, gases, media, calibration and KPIs decide whether each step works.

As this reproductive immunology is a trending subject with genetics, this is the 1st platform to bring it forward, & the lectures were very interactive, i enjoyed all the sessions, thank you for this course

Dr. Nirmal ShekhawatHands-on embryology training · Google

My first course was of intense two weeks embryology practice, long discussions about dos & donts, trouble shooting & about how to continuously evaluate your skills and over all lab performance. … The best part was that later on I could join in for further skill enhancements on the weekends.

Today, I am proud to say that I’m able to manage all lab procedures and paperwork according to the law & I owe a huge part of that to Fertilis Academy.

A nice and must be faculty to belong for the best and enriching experience that I have never seen.

(11)Questions

Before you enrol

Can’t find your answer? The admissions team replies on WhatsApp and by phone.

What is The Fertilis Academy?

A specialised training platform for IVF and clinical embryology. We offer hands-on and theoretical training that helps healthcare professionals deepen their reproductive-medicine expertise.

Who can enrol?

Medical graduates, embryologists, gynaecologists and healthcare professionals who want specialised skills in IVF, embryology and ART. Some programmes set specific eligibility. For example, hands-on ICSI training accepts MBBS, MD, BDS, BAMS and BHMS graduates, MSc life-science graduates, embryologists, and B.Pharm or genetics professionals. Check the course page.

Is the hands-on training in a real IVF lab?

Yes, for the October 2026 programme and the ongoing ICSI & vitrification training. Both run inside the Department of Reproductive Medicine at Artemis Hospital, Gurugram, a functioning lab, not a simulation room.

The ovum pick-up & embryo transfer workshop in Patiala is simulator-based by design.

Is the training suitable for beginners?

Yes. Modules run from beginner to advanced, and faculty make sure each learner covers both foundational and advanced knowledge for their experience level.

Will I get a certificate? Does it license me to practise?

You receive a certificate from The Fertilis Academy when you complete a course.

A course certificate is not a professional licence. India's ART (Regulation) Rules, 2022 set the qualifications and experience required to work as an embryologist in an ART clinic.

Can I learn while working full-time?

Yes. Live online sessions include daily Q&A, most live courses keep recordings for two months, and every course is available self-paced in the app.

How do I pay and confirm my seat?

Register through the course store linked on each course page (cards, UPI and net banking). If you pay another way, send the payment screenshot on WhatsApp to +91 90037 63534 to confirm your seat. Confirm the fee for your country first, because hands-on modules are priced separately.

Do you accept international students?

Yes. Learners have joined from 30+ countries. Many courses list fees in US dollars and Nigerian naira as well as rupees.

Can the academy help with our IVF lab?

Yes. Services include lab audits, on-site consultation, lab redesign and upgrades, SOP development and quality validation, equipment guidance and workflow troubleshooting.
