2 days, session by session

Theory in the academic room, hands-on practice in the lab.

  1. Day 1

    Ovum pick-up: technique & troubleshooting

    • Orientation, simulators and safety briefing
    • The science of a good OPU: trigger–pick-up interval, follicle physiology, empty follicle syndrome
    • Set-up and ergonomics: probe handling, needles, aspiration settings, alignment
    • Step-by-step OPU: probe positioning, follicle targeting, aspiration
    • Troubleshooting: deep pelvic, endometriotic ovaries, collapsing follicles
    • Advanced: asynchronous follicles, low AFC, bilateral access
  2. Day 2

    Embryo transfer: the most critical step

    • Biology of implantation: receptivity, contractions, why good embryos fail
    • ET preparation: catheters, ultrasound guidance, mock transfer
    • Hands-on simulator training: cervical negotiation, depth, placement
    • Difficult transfers: tortuous cervix, stenosis, acute angulation
    • ET errors and prevention: fundal touch, air bubbles, slow injection
    • Case integration: difficult OPU + ET, low-yield cycles
